La Scimmia Yoga, my trail run sponsor

I’ve got a sponsor; La Scimmia Yoga. I received my running shirt today. Now there is not only the Salomon trail running team, the North Face, the La Sportiva team and NIKE trail running team, but also the La Scimmia Yoga trail running team. Consisting of me and Matteo. So Jonathan Albon, Kilian Journet, Courtney Dauwalter, Davide Magnini and Nienke Brinkman, you better watch out. We’re coming!

Okay, that’s a joke. These guys are top, top athletes. If we ever run in the same race, they will have finished and showered, long before we are even close to the finish line. Yet, I do have my shirt. My sponsor shirt.

The La Scimmia Yoga running team

It started out as a joke, when our friends Giulia and Matteo came over from Italy to visit us and to film Giulia’s new yoga course for La Scimmia Yoga. That is the yoga platform owned and run by Sara, my girlfriend or wife to be precise, but girlfriends sounds sweeter. Every second morning Matteo and I would go out for a run and for fun called ourselves the La Scimmia Yoga running team.

When I saw an online service, printing running shirts, I forwarded the link to Sara. Designer as she is, she directly started to play with it and created a cool shirt, in the La Scimmia yoga colors; purple with pink. It looked so good, we decided to order a couple. Today they arrived. Tomorrow I will run the Viking Steam Trail in it.

A sponsored butt

So if you see a guy running in a purple shirt, underneath his black running vest, with La Scimmia Yoga on his chest and on his butt, it’s me. Come and say hi.
