Sorry, it took awhile, but there is a new podcast online. One about big feet and small shoes. That’s one of the problems I have to deal with in life.
Okay, I’ve written the story before on this blog, but I thought it was a funny one. That’s why I made it into a podcast episode.
I don’t know about you, but I like to listen to podcasts and audio-books while I run. Not for the short runs. On those I love the silence, the sound of the birds and the wind. But after a couple of hours I always get bored, so I take out my phone, look for a podcast and listen.
Listen and learn
Not just listen, often listen and learn. Same for audio-books. Some I just listen to for entertainment, like The Thursday Murder club or to have a laugh, like Foreskin’s Lament.
Although that last book is a book that makes you think as well. About how we’re brainwashed by our family, our surrounding and the society we grow up in; a topic Sara and I talk about as well in our own book: Yoga della Felicita. But that’s a whole other story.
Handy tips
Some podcasts and audio-books I listen to to learn. Beter worden, a Dutch podcast about training (for cyclists) for example, but also the English (as from Great Britain) Runner’s World podcast. They are full handy tips.
At this moment I’m listening to Atomic Habits by James Clear. I’ve read a couple of books on habits and even made a course for La Scimmia Yoga on how to make yoga a daily habit. But there is always more to learn. Besides that, it’s so interesting to see how our mind works, and how we can change our lives for the better. By running for example.
Informative podcasts
So yes, in the near future, I’ll make informative podcasts as well. But for today, it’s just a little story about big feet and small shoes to entertain you during your run. Although, you can also listen to it, when you’re not running, like when you do groceries, vacuum clean or … Well you get the picture.
